Sunbelt preview/ week1 & 2 grades

Terps are my teams  despite the Edsel , but I follow the mid majors, particularly S.Miss in the CUSA. Check out my google community on the CUSA, Sunbelt, & MAC.  https://plus.google.com/communities/104643398353248786505?utm_source=embedded&utm_medium=googleabout&utm_campaign=link

The Sun Belt has tightened and trimmed the conference to 8 teams:

1) Louisiana-Monroe – Browning (QB) and crew should light up the league , but will need to senior RBs Jyruss Edwards (438 yards), Monterrell Washington (354 yards) to step it up.

2) Louisiana-Lafayette- Hudspeth has some big time recruits, such as running back Elijah McGuire, but will they gel? Terrance Broadway (QB) and Alonzo harris (RB) fuel an explosive offense

3) Western Kentucky-  Head Coach Bobby Petrino will rely heavily on Antonio Andrews (1,733 rushing  yards and 11 touchdowns) until he can develop his typically explosive WR crew .

4) Texas State –  Franchione’s fun pack, led by WR Andy Erickson , a Rice transfer may sneak into second place.

5)   Troy is coming off back to back losing seasons.  Will the two QB (Deon Anthony & Corey Robinson) system work?

6) Arkansas State – Another Head Coach.  David Oku,  senior RB, will need  to come close to last season’s 1061 yards. Coach Harsin will slow the Malzahn O. It may be a very tough season in Jonesboro.

7) South Alabama:  Ross Metheny threw for 2000+ yards and 12 scores last season

8) Georgia State:  Keep your on linebacker Robert Ferguson , one of two players who’s played in all 33 G. ST games
