Mid majors it’s Tuesday week 9

Another early week and I’ll go with  ULL over Ark St  tonight.  I’ll return during the weekend.  Vote in the  “Must see poll” choices below.

First place ULL‘s  rushing game- Harris (105 yards, 2TDs & McGuire 110 yards) carried the Cajuns to a 23-7 win over Ark St. I didn’t vote for TX St/SBama( 33-31) in my poll, but it was a doozy.  Four late FGs by Dann of UTSA overcame another solid day by Metheny of USA. Troy edged WKU and ULM crushed Ga St.

Maybe I should’ve  had Marshall/MTSU  as my CUSA game in the poll.  Kilgore’s stat line was a little better than Cato’s and barely enough for the MTSU  51-49 win in the final seconds.

Marshall Att Cmp Cmp% PaT PaY YPA LgPa Int Rat
R. Cato 35 19 54.3 3 235 6.7 39 1 92.0
Middle Tennessee Att Cmp Cmp% PaT PaY YPA LgPa Int Rat
L. Kilgore 40 22 55.0 4 277 6.9 40 1 99.7

Tulane’s Green Wave D held Tulsa scoreless in the second half for a 14-7 win  but Rice blew out UTEP to stat tied with Tulane atop the West.  NTex, UTSA, & La Tech won easily over , respectively USM, UAB, & FIU. FAU was crushed by Auburn in OOC play. Idle ECU sits atop the East

I’d be in the money if  I were rewarded for picking close must see games: Toledo’s Terrance Owens threw for three touchdowns, including the game-winner with 1:22 remaining  in a 25-22 win over Bowling Green. W.Michigan’s QB Terrel,  who caught Brady fever, in Foxboro tossed four touchdowns including a 54-yard scoring strike to Corey Davis with five minutes remaining  to give visiting Western Michigan a 31-30 victory  over UMass. Ball ST, Ohio, Buffalo, and NIU defeated, respectively, Akron, MIami O, Kent St,  &  E.Mich.  In conference standings Buffalo (4-0) leads the MAC East WHILE Ball St (5-0) & NIU (4-0) sit atop the West.

How about those huge number Jordan Lynch , NIU’s QB keep posting?
