Week 11 MAC-time Tuesday

Must see poll

Tonigh MAC game poll entry is a battle for the East. In the CUSA Tulane needs a win to stay alive atop the West, &  our Sunbelt  game features  a decent Troy squad trying to slow down the Ragin Cajuns, who haven’t lost since week2. I’m going with the MAC  game.

Ok, I was wrong about  Ohio/Buff. Brandon Oliver  rushed for 249 yards & 2 TDs, while the Licata to Neutz connection created another two TDs in Buffalo’s 30-3 rout of Ohio. The rout theme continued as  Bowling Green  defeated Miami (Ohio) 45-3 behind  M.Johnson  3 passing TDs . Keith Wenning tossed 4 TDs and threw for 299 yards in Ball St 44-24 win over C.Mich. Next week it Lynch & NIU for Wenning & crew.

11/8/13: E. Mich finally fired Ron English. EMU Eagles (1-8, 0-5 MAC) have lost eight straight games by an average score of 48-18. Why they  fired him for a “homophobic slur” and not his poor record sounds like more PC BS.  First-year offensive coordinator Stan Parrish will serve as interim coach.

11/10/13:  Parrish is 1-0 as EMU outlasted W. Mich in OT

The best poll game: Troy gave ULL all they could handle but Broadway & McGuire found the end zone enough to seal a Cajuns’ victory. Ark St and ULM were tied 14-14  at halftime then Adam Kennedy , the Ark St QB , rushed for two TDs and passed for one,  and the D blanked ULM in the second half. The Hilltoppers of WKU did just enough for an OOC win over Army.

Off the field, Carl Pellini  claims he didn’t  use pot & cocaine and he want his job back after the interim HC led FAU to an upset W over Tulane last week. Yep, that will happen-LOL!

11/10/13: Tulane found some D but a lack of O cost them in a 10-7 loss to UTSA Blowout city ruled the CUSA Saturday.  Cato ‘s Marshall crew herded UAB, but Carden threw  5 TDs in ECU’s rout of Tulsa to keep pace in the East and Mid Tenn St held FIU to 91 yards rushing in a shutout to stay a game behind.

In the West UTEP led by  B. Byrd   202 yards  and 2 TDs  pummeled  N. Tex   and moved ahead of idle Rice by half a game for the West lead. Holtz skipped a goodbye ticket as La Tech beat hapless USM.
